Middlesbrough are set for a big week in the transfer market with several big deals in the offing, they will look to McCormack and Bamford to bolster their attack with the hope of getting at least one of them before the deadline. Bamford has notified Hiddink that he would like to move on loan if he is not going to bre given a chance a his parent club, however the young striker would like to move to a premier league club. But in the event that a deal doesn't occur he would be happy to rejoin Boro, he wants to keep his options open as long as possible though so if a deal is to be struck it is likely to be late in the window.

McCormack on the other hand has told the Fulham boss he want to leave the club and join Middles rough, however with the club reluctant to let their star man go, the deal looks unlikely.

Bournemouth have offered Tomlin back to Middlesbrough after the attacker openly critised the club and management on social media, however Boro manager Karanka has had problems with Tomlin in the past but knows how good the player can be, with this he will meet the player and hold a meeting with Gibson on whether it is worth the risk on bringing the former Peterborough man back to Teesside.

Boro also have their eyes on a new left winger, with Matty Phillips their No.1 target, however the asking price of 7.5m is steep so Middlesbrough may be forced to look further down their list for a new wide man, with several options in Spain and Portugal, where the club have scouted extensively over the past year.

A deal with Victor Lindelof was also expected to be wrapped up this week, but with the player o the bench for Benficas last game the club are becoming increasingly worried if a deal can be wrapped, with the players agent holding the transfer back.

Middlesbrough do not expect to lose any players this month but it us down to Watford to decide on Fabbrini's future with there club unable to stand in the way if the player is happy to move to Birmingham, who have bid 2 million for the Italian.

ROUND UP:
Middlesbrough are confident of completing a deal for Diego Fabbrini, who will move to the club on an initial 1 year loan from Watford, as one of Karankas top targets, Fabrinni will add competition to an already strong forward line.

The club also hope to confirm Christian Stuani as a Middlesbrough player in the coming days after the Uruguayan striker signed all neccasary paperwork earlier in the week, he will join the teeside club following and impressive season in LA Liga, in which he netted 12 goals in 15 starts for Espanyol.

Finally, Middlesbrough have been handed a boost in their pursuit of Jordan Rhodes after the player said he was 'unhappy' at not being allowed to talk to Boro over a potential move.
It is believed the striker will force a move to 'ambitious' Middlesbrough and could sign as soon as this coming week, with Karanka, Gibson and Rhodes wanting the move to go through before the campaign starts away at Preston.
Blackburn are holding out for 12m up front but the club could be forced to compromise after Rhodes' actions.
